Junior Cricket Excellence
Our U11 squad is the pride of WICC's youth section - current holders of the Higham & District Youth League Cup! This is where young cricketers transition from ECB programs to competitive hardball cricket.
Training focuses on developing solid techniques in batting, bowling, and fielding, while match days provide the thrill of real competition. Our qualified coaches ensure every player gets opportunities to develop their game.
Whether your child has come through All Stars and Dynamos or is new to cricket, the U11s provide a supportive environment to grow as both a cricketer and a teammate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment does my child need?
For training, comfortable sports clothing and trainers are sufficient. For matches, we recommend a helmet (compulsory for batting), batting gloves, and pads. The club has equipment that can be borrowed while you decide on purchases.
How are teams selected for matches?
We aim to give all squad members regular playing time. Selection is rotated to ensure everyone gets opportunities to develop. As the season progresses, we may select based on attendance and commitment for important cup matches.
What is the time commitment?
Training is once a week (Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm) and matches are typically on Sunday afternoons. Players are expected to attend training regularly and be available for matches when selected.
Can my child join mid-season?
Yes! We welcome new players throughout the season. Come along to a training session to try it out - the first two sessions are free.
What is the pathway after U11?
Players can progress to our U13 squad and continue through U15 to senior cricket. Many of our current 1st XI players came through the youth system.
The Journey Continues
From U11, players can progress through our youth system all the way to senior cricket.
